Rigid box structures

Custom Rigid Drawer Boxes

A sliding inner tray inside an outer sleeve creates a controlled opening experience for apparel, accessories and gift sets. Wanxin Pack coordinates the structure, wrapping, logo and insert around your product, with a standard MOQ of 500 pieces per item.

Printing and finishing feasibility depends on quantity, material, dimensions and artwork. Not every process is suitable for every starting quantity.

Choosing your packaging

Check the tray, sleeve and product as one structure.

Start with the usable tray space

Measure the product in the condition in which it will be packed. Folded garments, tissue, cards and an insert all take space. Describe the desired arrangement and give length, width and height in millimetres. Identify these as product measurements or required internal box measurements; do not use the outside sleeve size as the available packing space.

Review how the tray opens

A ribbon pull and a finger notch offer different ways to open the drawer. The tray should move comfortably while holding the contents in place. Check the fit with a plain structural sample before approving the printed wrap. If the product can move when the tray opens, review a divider or fitted insert instead of simply increasing the box size.

Plan artwork around folds and edges

Supply the logo as vector artwork where available. Identify the top, sides, sleeve opening and inside tray separately. A digital proof checks position and text; a physical sample checks paper texture, folds, print and the sliding action. Confirm which surfaces are covered by the sleeve when the box is closed.

Compare delivered cost, not only box price

An assembled rigid drawer box occupies space during shipment. Ask for packed carton dimensions, quantity per carton and gross weight as well as the unit price. A smaller correctly fitted tray, simpler insert or fewer finishing operations may reduce cost, but each change needs a fit and appearance check.

Coordinate the surrounding packaging

A drawer box can be quoted alongside a shopping bag, tissue, card and shipping pack. Each component keeps its own quantity and specification. Check the assembled set in the intended outer packaging; a decorative rigid box should not automatically be treated as a complete parcel-shipping solution.

FAQ

Practical answers before you request a quote.

What is a rigid drawer box?

It is a presentation box with an inner tray that slides out of an outer sleeve. Paper-wrapped rigid board provides the structure; a ribbon pull or notch can help open it. The tray, sleeve and insert need to be designed around the packed product.

Can drawer boxes be supplied flat?

A conventional assembled rigid drawer box generally keeps its shape in transit. If storage or freight volume is a priority, ask for a comparison with an appropriate folding carton or another flat-supplied structure. Do not assume every drawer design can fold flat.

Can I order two drawer box sizes?

Yes, sizes can be reviewed in one project. Each size and design is quoted separately, with a standard MOQ of 500 pieces per item for most specifications.

What changes the cost of a custom drawer box?

Dimensions, board and wrap, insert complexity, printed surfaces, finishing operations, order quantity and packed shipping volume all affect the quotation. Final pricing follows a specification review.
